Now this is certainly interesting! Yesterday I was drafting the first version of a report I’m supposed to deliver to a company I’ve been working with on my PhD. Instead of providing them with boring PowerPoint slides, I decided to use as many visuals as possible (my PhD is about visual communication, after all…) but then I was faced with a problem: what kind of software to use? My knowledge of Photoshop etc. is rather limited so then I thought that I’d use lo-fi visuals, i.e. drawings! And today I found this cool post on lo-fi infographics:
It looks a bit messy, but I like the idea of lo-fi infographics. In fact, one of the things I dislike about the more ‘traditional’ infographics is that the connection between the creator and the object is distorted by the computer…which is why I made a rough sketch of a publication pipeline:
I didn’t use too much time in drawing it, but it felt fantastic to draw it! I’ll be experimenting more with this in the future.
But for now, have a nice weekend! 🙂
